You have probably heard by now that on December 1, 2009 the FTC will begin enforcing it’s new guidelines.
I have been doing a lot of research on these new guidelines and was preparing to sit down and write a long post on how it effects you and I. Guess what? I received an excellent email from fellow marketer Mark Widawer who had just posted a fantastic blog about new FTC guidelines and how it effects marketers and affiliates. In fact it was so good I decided to save some time writing my post and just provide you a link to his blog post.

I truly believe that it will be extremely hard for the FTC to police the internet. However, if you are an internet marketer and have competition you can bet that they will be watching what you do. If you are out of compliance you can best believe that someone that would like to hurt you will report you to the FTC.
The best thing to do is find out what the new FTC guidelines are and remain compliant. Many of the affiliate sites out there right now will have to change their testimonials and income claims or risk the wrath of the FTC.
