Google Alerts and Free One Way BackLinks For SEO!
You are probably aware that google loves websites with links from other websites. These back links give your website more credibility as far as google is concerned.
In one of my earlier posts I discuss in more detail the importance of back links and using anchor text. For a quick review go to Back links and anchor text.
One way back links hold more power than 2 way links. Why? Because google sees a one way link as an endorsement for your site. A 2 way link exchange is not given as much juice by google because it is seen as a trade off. This is why all those link exchange systems and techniques are virtually worthless.
Here is a free and easy way to get one way backlinks to help you in SEO for your blog, capture pages, and web sites.
Google Alerts is a free and simple to use tool that can actually help you get back links. Google Alerts is a program that allows you to set up a profile using targeted keywords. You set it up so that when a new blog post or article using those keywords is put up and spidered by google they will email you an alert. You simply click on the link in the email and read the post.
At the bottom of each post is a comments section. This is where you can get your free one way back link.
Do it right! Read the post and leave a good positive comment based on what you read. do not spam the post with some sales pitch or nonsense. when you fill out the comments section you will be able to put your web address in there. This is a back link and people reading your comments can click and go to your page. If you leave good comments that make you sound professional many people will be curious to learn more about you and click the link.

I get google alerts emailed to me everyday for my keywords and it takes about 15 minutes to grab 5-10 free one way back links to my blog and capture pages.
It is easy to set up and only takes a few minutes a day to do!

Great and timely article… this is exactly what i have been doing lately. It works if you do it with “Adding Value” in mind. If you just go around spamming peoples blogs without adding to the conversation then you are doing everyone a dis-service. Thanks for a great post
